Ringing Rocks
Ringing rocks park has to be one of the strangest parks in Bucks County. The main attraction is an eight-acre field of huge reddish boulders, a peculiar enough sight in itself. Odder still is the fact that many of the rocks ring like bells when struck. On a busy day at the park, you'll find most of your fellow hikers trudging toward the boulder field with hammers in hand, looking like a troop of single-minded carpenters on their way to a remote job site. No matter where you go the woods resound with the chinking metallic sound of the rocks being struck, often accompanied by peals of delighted laughter. If you want to make some rock music yourself, bring your own hammer.
